Easter egg decoration workshop (Pysanka)
The pysanka is a national symbol of Ukraine. Its name comes from the word pysaty (to write), because the patterns are "written" on the egg with hot beeswax instead of being painted.

About the event
Pysanka, a type of Easter egg decoration created using wax-resist painting, is one of Ukraine's national symbols. The term "Pysanka" comes from the verb "pysaty," meaning "to write." Patterns are not painted directly onto the egg; instead, designs are drawn with wax, and the egg is dipped into dyes, coloring the areas not protected by the wax.
